Portraits of Immigrant Voices

Portraits of Immigrant Voices - The Asian American Society of Central VA is proud to have been able to collaborate on this project with talented creatives: Joe Kutchera, Alfonso Acosta and Tida Tep.  Our combined efforts helped bring the “Portraits of Immigrant Voices” from a virtual and art exhibition into a physical hard cover book.  The goal of AASoCV for this project is for the reader to have a better understanding and appreciation for the diversity of our communities.  The people featured in the book may have taken different paths on the way to Richmond, but their stories all share a common theme of hardship, sacrifice, assimilation, hard work, and triumph.  Our organization is composed of members from 19 different Asian communities whose stories are similar.  Their voices are our voices.  We hope that you enjoy each one.  AASoCV would like to thank The Verizon Foundation for making this project possible.
