Born in Tokyo, Japan, and a resident of Virginia since 2013, Mahir is biracial, with Middle Eastern and Japanese heritage, which has given him a unique cultural perspective. He spent half his life between Japan and the U.S., enriching his connection to both backgrounds. In January 2024, he joined the AASoCV to further engage with and contribute to the vibrant community. He is currently pursuing a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree at Marymount University in Arlington, VA.
