Hnin Naychi

I immigrated to the United States in 2015 to work as a translator and then I moved to Richmond, Virginia in 2016. I grew up in Yangon, Burma (Myanmar) where I studied English at Yangon University. I love my work translating because it allows me to help Burmese people who have immigrated to the US but struggle with communicating in English. Since moving to Richmond, I have been very active volunteering with the local Burmese and Asian American communities.
