Rumy Mohta

Hailing from Bombay, India, I am an Analytical Chemist by profession, but my deep passions are very evident in strong family values, community involvement, volunteerism, history, and travel. Having served under five Virginia governors for different Boards & Commissions, I currently serve on the Solar Energy Authority for Governor Youngkin. As a constant liaison among the different Asian communities, I advocate for causes that strengthen their identities and support diversity in all facets.

Mahmud Chowdhury

I had the privilege of serving the Asian American community as chairman of AASoCV for seven years (2015-2021) and as a board member since 2008. I am grateful for the opportunity to serve along other wonderful board members.

Jaye Li

After immigrating to the US as a teenager, I attended high school and college in North Carolina. I have been working in the information technology field, primarily for the financial industry in the last 20 years. Married with 2 children, I love traveling with my family and trying new foods. In my spare time, I actively engage in community and non-profit work, even co-founded a cultural performance organization called “Pacific Arts Troupe.”
